Home Remedies
Sometimes you have aches and pains and if you go to your physician, you will be subscribed to medicines from the regular industry. These medicines are chemically produced with many resources and not all of them are sustainable. Also when using those medicines, by-products and residues of that medicine will be released in nature(to be specific: everytime you go to the toilet to be more specific) So if you have some regular aches and pains, is there a more eco-friendly way of treating that?
The old days
In the old days there were no big hospitals, certified doctors and no chemically produced medicines. Help was found in the wisdom of the elders and if you were lucky there was a healer in your village or hopefully in the next village. Knowledge was gathered and collected by many generations and was passed between those generations. We relied on nature and knew how to take care of the ailments that bothered us. Modernisation, industrialization or whatever the reasons might be, we somehow lost that valuable knowledge of nature's remedies in our daily lives.
Or maybe not all knowledge is lost. You might have some food habits that you didn't know have healing properties. Maybe you have heard some of these remedies you might even use:
Camomile
If you are stressed or you want to drink something before going to bed without keeping you up all night, you might drink a cup of camomile to calm you down.
If you have a sore throat, you know that you should heat up some water, put it in a bucket with camomile leaves and use the steam to relieve that ache.
Honey
When you have a cold, why not make yourself a cup of tea with ginger, lemon and honey. It’s something about that combination that makes you feel just a little bit better.
Oregano
Oregano has some strong healing properties like improving the digestive system, is antiviral and helps with the prevention of infections. It is great to cook with, but if you learn the skills to make oregano oil you have the concentrated powers of oregano neatly in a drop of that oil.
Sage
Sage helps with digestion and inflammation. Add sage leaves to your meat or make sage tea with fresh leaves.
Curcuma
Curcuma is such a good way to combat inflammation in your body. Cook with curcuma in combination with black pepper to help your body.
What is your family recipe to make you feel better?
How to regain that knowledge?
Maybe you are fortunate and have received some home remedies from your (grand)parents.
But maybe you are like most of us and hardly know how to treat common and small ailments at home. Then this might be interesting to you:
Dr. John Herzog wrote a book about powerful home remedies you can often use instead of going to the doctor or hospital. He wants you to have the knowledge to look after your own health as best as possible and wrote the Doctor’s book of home survival remedies.
Of course if you start searching you will find many books with information for better health and remedies, but none of them have been written by a real doctor.
If you want that valuable knowledge in your life,to help those you love in a natural way, this is the book for you!

Have a look and see how valuable this knowledge is to you and to the next generation in your family.
